Jessica Meir might not be able to light Hanukkah candles this year, but that didn’t stop her from sharing in the holiday spirit with everyone back on earth.

Meir, a NASA astronaut, is currently serving aboard the International Space Station. Before leaving the planet’s surface back in September, Meir made sure to pack a pair of festive Hanukkah socks, which she proudly displayed in a viral Twitter post.

Meir’s father is an Iraqi Jew who immigrated to Israel as a child. Her mother is a Swedish Christian, though the family maintains a Jewish lifestyle, and Jessica is a friend of the Jewish state.
