IDF Soldiers Stabbed in Samaria

One soldier in serious condition; terrorist shot and killed; three Israelis wounded in two separate stoning attacks

Two IDF soldiers were stabbed and wounded, one seriously, by a knife-wielding Palestinian assailant in Samaria on Wednesday.

The attack occurred near the Jewish community of Shiloh, which in biblical times served for a period as the capital of Israel and resting place of the Tabernacle and Ark of the Covenant.

The attacker was shot and killed by other soldiers in the area.

Overnight Tuesday, three Israelis were wounded in two separate Palestinian stone-throwing attacks.

Just north of Jerusalem, a public bus was pelted with stones, shattering the windshield and injuring the driver and one passenger.

South of the capital, Palestinian assailants ambushed a private Israeli vehicle, lightly wounding the driver, who managed to flee the scene.
