Iraq: Hating the Palestinians, Lamenting the Disappearance of Its Jews
An intriguing video recently posted to the popular Israeli news portal Rotter.net revealed a dramatic shift in the attitude of average Iraqis toward Israel and its conflict with the Palestinians.

In the clip, a man from the city of Basra states that Iraqis now “completely identify with Israel, and may the Philistizi people be cursed with an eternal curse.” The use of the derogatory term Philistizi (a combination of the Arabic words for Palestinian and rear-end) to call out the Palestinians is surprisingly contemptuous, but no less shocking than the sudden affinity for the Jewish state.
