Rabbi Amital Bareli sent a letter to Bennett charging that the textbook presented Jerusalem as more of a Christian city than a Jewish one. The rabbi said the book’s author, Tamar Hayardeni, too often refers students to passages in the New Testament where they learn about the Christian ‘saints’ and the birth of Jesus.
