MembersLast Days’ Food Shortages?

The Ukraine “breadbasket” is under fire, even as a food war is waged in Israel

The New Testament book of Revelation prophesies that in the Last Days grain prices will skyrocket to “a quart [liter] of wheat for a day’s wages” (Revelation 6:6). That’s a 1000% increase (ten times higher) relative to the price in Israel today and our minimum wage.

It just got a lot easier to see a potential correlation with today’s shaky global economy than it was a few weeks ago.

Why?

The Russian “defensive action” in Ukraine has already affected the whole world in terms of gas prices. Next is agriculture. Russia and Ukraine are the world’s number 1 and number 5 wheat exporters, respectively. Not only that but Russia is the globe’s top exporter of fertilizer to help grow foods of all kinds. This triple whammy of fuel supply, grain supply and fertilizer supply has set the stage for food shortages, as evidenced by the fact that wheat prices have increased by about 1/3 since the start of the war in Ukraine.
