The Coronavirus came out of the blue. Locked-down ghost cities, corpse-filled hallways, acres of ready graves and flaming funeral pyres, massive unemployment and emotional stress that scarred billions. No-one, least of all the myriad teachers with “prophetic callings,” foretold that one; warned us of that one.
Russia’s rape of Ukraine likewise came out of nowhere, and now we are looking at a Europe we thought never to see again. Columns of tanks, cities deliberately reduced to rubble, civilians cowering underground, rivers of refugees, the growing number of innocent dead – pregnant women, children. No-one, least of all the myriad teachers with “prophetic callings,” foretold this one; warned us of this one.
