Avner Netanyahu, the youngest son of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, has completed his mandatory military service and entered civilian life.

Three years ago, the media was abuzz at the prime minister and his wife, Sarah Netanyahu, accompanying young Avner to the IDF induction center.

Avner went on to serve in a field intelligence unit. He was once lightly wounded during a training exercise.

Following the completion of his son’s service, Netanyahu wrote on Facebook: “Avner today fulfilled his meaningful service to the IDF, and has shed the uniform of the soldier. Three years ago, we hugged you goodbye, and today we rejoice with you in the opening of a new chapter in your life. Avner, we are proud of you and love you, and we share in the excitement of all parents in Israel...
