Palestinian terrorist gunmen on Wednesday burst into a hospital in the northern Samaria town of Jenin and snatched the body of an 18-year-old Israeli who had presumably died in a car accident a short time earlier.

The victim, Tiran Fero, was a member of Israel’s Druze community who the terrorists had reportedly mistaken for a Jewish IDF soldier. He was critically injured in a car accident while leaving Jenin, a hotbed of Palestinian terror under the Palestinian Authority.

Due to the nature of Fero’s injuries, there was no time to evacuate him to an Israeli hospital, and he was rushed to the nearest medical facility in Jenin, where his father joined him.

Severely complicating the matter is the testimony of Fero’s father, who insists that his son, while unconscious, was still breathing when the terrorist gunmen took him.

The father’s testimony was relayed via Mowafaq Tarif, the spiritual head of the Druze Israeli community, who told Israel’s Kan public broadcaster:

“After the accident he saw that his son was breathing. He was disconnected from the equipment and kidnapped while still alive. They took him while firing shots in the air. It was a very difficult scene.”

Fero’s uncle, Adi, added the following harrowing account:

“We saw them. They were armed. They came like [they did during] the intifada. They entered—20 to 30 of them—the hospital, they fired outside in the air. If we had not complied, they’d have kidnapped us too.”

Adi believes that his nephew died of his injuries and was not purposely killed by the terrorists, who are now trying to swap the young Israeli’s body for those of Palestinian terrorists killed while carrying out attacks on Israel.
