Could it be that a miracle occurred on October 7th, and that a planned combined invasion from the Gaza Strip, Lebanon and Syria failed? In conversations around the country, I hear more and more that God saved Israel from a much greater tragedy. The same is being said in the Israeli media.
There was supposed to be a three-pronged assault by Hamas in the south and Hezbollah in the north, with ballistic missiles being fired from Iran. The Jewish towns in the border areas were to be conquered, while long-range Iranian missiles rained down on strategic targets, such as power plants and air bases, in Israel. The attack plan failed because the Hamas regime in the Gaza Strip did not cooperate with its partners. They did not inform Hezbollah and the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps about the “zero hour” early on Shabbat morning. When Hamas invaded the south alone, Washington intervened within hours and warned Hezbollah and Tehran of further attacks on Israel.

Yes, in a sense Oct 7th was a miracle. It could have been far worse. Also it has brought some unity among Israelis which is desperately needed. It has also brought Jews to consider/ willing to seek God like never before.
…. and it has, in the worldwide aftermath, had Jews to consider Israel their homeland and making aliyah to Israel.
As Jeremiah prophecied in Ch 16: “Therefore, the days are quickly coming,” declares Adonai, “when it will no longer be said. ‘As Adonai lives, who brought up the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt.’ Rather, ‘As Adonai lives, who brought up the children of Israel from the land of the north and from all the lands where He had banished them.’ So I will bring them back into their land that I gave to their fathers.
“Behold, I will send for many fishers,” says Adonai, “and they will fish for them. After that, I will send for many hunters, and they will hunt them down from every mountain and from every hill, and out of the clefts of the rocks.
