Israel is open to abortion, and alarmed by the overturning of Roe v. Wade. Do Israeli Messianic Jews line up more with their Christian brethren on the issue?

With the overturning of Roe v. Wade in the United States, abortion is again one of the big political topics of the day. And Israel is no exception in that regard, especially with a national election coming up.

Israel, and even Bible-believing religious Israelis, are open to abortion, which comes as a surprise to many of our Christian readers. But what of Israel’s Messianic Jewish body?

We spoke with Sandy Shoshani, Director of Be’ad Chaim, a Messianic pro-life and women’s health organization that has received an award from the Israeli government for their “significant contribution to the protection of mothers and children.”
