Israel is now determined to achieve a clear victory over Hamas in Gaza. However, the same cannot be said about the mother of all wars that Israel has waged since its inception in 1948, as we will see.
For almost three months we have been embroiled in a level of war that Israel has not known until now.
Firstly, it is now by far the longest war that the State of Israel has known in its young history, and secondly, this is a multiple-front war such as Israel has never before fought.
In 1967 and 1973 there were also several fronts, but those wars were conventional in nature. That is, armies fought against armies.
The seventh front is missing
Israel is currently engaged in an asymmetric war with a series of terrorist movements and militias ranging from the Ansar Allah militia (Houthis) in Yemen to Hezbollah and the Islamic Resistance in Iraq.
