We wrote about Sapir and Sasha in the Gaza tunnels, about the miracles they witnessed, and about the prayers of thanks they offered. Now further examples are coming to light, of hostages and other survivors of the massacre, expressing some form of faith-response.
The following is from 12-year-old Yagil Yaakov who was kidnapped from his home in Nir Oz on that fateful morning. He did not grow up in a religious environment, yet after being released from Hamas captivity he wrote a post in Hebrew that went viral on social media:

Wonderful to hear about what the Lord is doing in the young heart of “Let Jacob rejoice!” Yesterday I finished reading Isaiah and today I’m on Jeremiah. The ways of the Holy One of Israel loving His people (and disciplining them out of His love when necessary) are all clearly written and preserved in these Books of the Prophets.
It is so sad that there are still so many Jewish people in the Promised Land, who refuse even to acknowledge Him, the Spring of living water. I pray for Him, in His mercy, that He may fulfil Ezekiel 36:26-27 among those people.
Well said, Masami! Isaiah tells it all, past, present and future – the state of man and his vain oblations versus true repentance and humbling of the heart to serve God on His terms. Covenants and commandments are required for God’s safe keeping of all people, especially the house of Israel – to the Jew first and foremost.
We also have friends “on the ground” who are reporting an increased interest in God, in Yeshua. Also a good number of people being baptized since Oct 7th.
Thank you Lord for your great mercy, even in times of great turmoil.
