You know what the events in Israel and Egypt over the past few days reminded me of? The Muppet Show, that British-American puppet comedy from the late ’70s. I grew up with it too—in Israel, we called it HaChabubot (החבובות). And honestly, Trump’s performances these days were like a revival of it—the best Muppet Show on TV. Trump and his Muppet politicians, or rather, puppet politicians.
Donald Trump has a unique way of handling heads of state: he spins them like a yo-yo, and we’ve seen this on multiple stages in recent days. Not just in Jerusalem, but also in Sharm el-Sheikh, or even in the White House, where he loves to toy with them. He pulls the strings, and they dance—putting them under pressure, subtly or openly dismantling them, often with a wink that the camera loves.
What we saw in the Knesset and at the Sharm el-Sheikh summit is a pattern that runs through his entire presidency. Trump stages himself as the supreme actor who bends diplomatic protocol at will....

So totally true and frightening! To know that world leaders just need to feed a gargantuan ego to appease Trump is so scary to me. Complete enemies of Israel met in Egypt, not because they understand how Israel has had to fight tooth and nail for any freedom, but because of money deals involved.
