During routine operations in the northern Gaza Strip, an IDF reservist was seriously injured in a shooting attack by terrorists. The army confirmed the incident and stated that armored units and the Air Force subsequently targeted sites in the area.
Serious attack on reservist near the ceasefire line
According to the IDF, the attack occurred near the so-called Yellow Line, the agreed boundary between the Gaza Strip and Israeli-controlled areas. Terrorists opened fire on a group of Israeli soldiers who were positioned at the border as part of their duties. One reservist was seriously wounded by the gunfire and was subsequently evacuated to a hospital, while his family was notified.
In response to the attack, armored units and the Israeli Air Force carried out strikes against suspected targets in the vicinity. The army described the incident as a clear violation of the currently valid ceasefire.
Additional incidents and IDF responses
Another incident occurred in the Jericho area, where terrorists threw stones at IDF soldiers. Israeli forces opened fire, killing one of the attackers and wounding several others.
The IDF emphasized that no further Israeli casualties were reported in these incidents. The army stated that it remains vigilant and will respond decisively to armed attacks to ensure the safety of its soldiers and the population.
