When was the last time you felt that everything was becoming too much? Not because life had become harder, but because there were no boundaries left? When did availability turn into overwhelm, freedom into restlessness, possibilities into disorientation? Why are so many people constantly busy, yet inwardly empty? Why do we often lose ourselves not in great crises, but in a thousand small daily oversteps?
We live in a time in which almost everything is permitted, almost everything is accessible, and almost everything is immediately available. But what if our strength is not found in boundless openness, but in the ability to set boundaries? What if the “no” is sometimes holier than the “yes”?
At first glance, the weekly Torah portion appears to be a collection of ancient regulations about priests, offerings and holidays. But in truth, hidden within it is a highly relevant wisdom for our exhausted age: a life without boundaries loses its form. A person without boundaries loses himself.
