Terms such as “Project Greater Israel,” which were once merely fringe phenomena, are moving more strongly into view. Many videos and other posts are going viral that barely acknowledge Israel’s struggle for its very existence, and in which a new narrative dominates: the wars of the past two years are not interpreted as defensive battles, but as part of a long-term strategic plan aimed at expanding Israel along biblical lines.
The mood toward Israel is becoming increasingly heated. In parts of the West, criticism is blending with open rejection, even with a growing mistrust often shaped by strong emotions. At the center of these debates stands the Temple Mount in Jerusalem, the place where history, faith and conflict converge as if under a magnifying glass. In some analyses, there is now even speculation that, in the shadow of current wars — including in the context of the Iran issue — the status quo there could be violently changed.
