The website “Kueez” (http://ar.kueez.com), hosted and operated from B’nei Barak, is a hit all across the Middle East. Kueez makes it possible to playfully manipulate one’s own appearance. For example, you can simulate what you might look like in a few decades, what you would have looked like in a picture from the 1960s, which animal you look like when you smile, or what you would look like if you were the opposite sex.

Millions of users in Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Syria, Kuwait, Libya, Iraq, Turkey, and even the Gaza Strip have no idea that their favorite web app was developed by religious Israeli Jews.

The simulations are created from pictures plucked from the users’ Facebook profiles. Then the player is given the chance to share the simulation...
