In Rafah, at the south tip of the Gaza Strip, Palestinian children celebrate the breaking of the fast, a festivalknown as Eid al-Fitr. This four-day festival concludes Ramadan. During this time, the Palestinians celebrate throughout the country. In Eilat, for instance, all the hotels are fully booked with Arab guests. In the Gaza Strip, the Palestinians could lead quiet and prosperous lives if Hamas were more considerate of their population. The many pictures from Eid al-Fitr demonstrate how pleasant and peaceful life could be in Gaza.
