But it is this very behavior that may eventually see them removed from Israel’s halls of power.
We have witnessed a series of outbursts from several senior members of the UAL, most notably Hanin Zoabi, Basel Ghattas and Jamal Zahalka of the Balad party.
Following the reconciliation agreement between Israel and Turkey last June, Zoabi sparked a scandal by calling the accord an “admission of murder” on Israel’s part. Nine Turkish nationals were killed when Israeli naval commandoes intercepted an international flotilla attempting to break the maritime blockage on Gaza in 2010.
Ghattas and Zahalka created their own headlines when they publicly consoled the families of Palestinian terrorists killed in deadly attacks on Israelis.
