The United States continued its airstrikes against military targets in Iran for the eleventh consecutive night. US Central Command (CENTCOM) announced that the latest wave of attacks concluded at 8:15 p.m. Eastern Time (EDT) on Tuesday. According to the US military, the operations lasted approximately 75 minutes.
According to CENTCOM, the attacks targeted military operations centers, maritime facilities, aircraft hangars, drone depots, and military logistics infrastructure. The aim of the operation was to further restrict Iran’s ability to threaten international shipping in the Strait of Hormuz.
CENTCOM forces began striking military targets in Iran at 7 p.m. ET today for the 11th consecutive night. The strikes are designed to continue degrading Iran’s ability to threaten commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz.

The United States justifies its ongoing military campaign with repeated attacks on international shipping in the strategically important strait. According to CENTCOM, Iran has attacked more than 30 merchant ships in the past three months. These attacks have endangered hundreds of sailors and disrupted freedom of navigation. This information comes from the US military and has not yet been independently verified.
CENTCOM emphasized that the Strait of Hormuz remains open to international shipping despite the tensions. Since the beginning of May, US forces have supported the safe passage of approximately 900 merchant ships and the transport of about 450 million barrels of crude oil through the strait. The United States considers the protection of this waterway one of the most important objectives of its ongoing military mission.

The eleventh wave of attacks is part of a series of near-nighttime US airstrikes that have targeted Iranian military installations since the beginning of July. While the initial attacks primarily targeted air defense sites, missile and drone capabilities, and military infrastructure, the focus has recently shifted increasingly to facilities that, according to the US, are linked to Iran’s maritime capabilities and the threat to shipping.
CENTCOM provided no information regarding potential damage or losses on the Iranian side. There was also no official statement from Tehran regarding the latest wave of attacks.
