It was a great evening, everyone was in a good mood. At about 10 p.m. we dispersed and got ready to settle down for the night. I got into bed and suddenly heard loud barking. Such a sound was unusual and it went on for a long time. The barking turned to squealing and yelping. I jumped out of bed and saw everyone running toward the porch only to be greeted by a terrible sight.
Our two dogs, Kuchka and Lila, were involved in a fight. Lila’s head was in Kuchka’s locked jaws. Aviel and the boys tried their best to free Lila, unsuccessfully, while she squealed and yelped. Suddenly, Lila was freed from Kuchka’s clutches. Lila was badly injured with lots of bloody wounds. Tomer picked her up in his arms, carried her to the bathtub, washed her, and disinfected the wounds with Moran’s help.
Elad, who typically cares for the dogs, was quiet, sad and remained outside. He understood that Kuchka had crossed a line and that something needed to be done about it....
