After more than seven weeks, the war that started on October 7 with an unprecedented Hamas attack from Gaza is now slowly but surely developing into a regional conflict. However, it seems that few, including government officials in Israel, see the larger picture in this war. Either that, or they prefer to ignore it
The media in Israel and beyond are currently obsessed with the war in Gaza, and even more so with the fate of the approximately 160 hostages still held by Hamas and other terror groups.
So, it is time for an analysis of the ongoing war from a military point of view.
Gaza and Hezbollah
To begin with the latter, it is clear that the ceasefire would never have happened if there had been no hostages in Gaza.

So it looks like there are two obstacles to victory: Bibi and Biden.
