Beach vacation in Israel – God’s promise to Abraham has been fulfilled

Israel’s beaches are densely populated by the Jewish people, who are tended like a flock of sheep.

The long Mediterranean coast of the Holy Land should offer plenty of space for the small Jewish people, but the beaches are hopelessly overcrowded this summer vacation. Oiled bodies crowd the sandy beach or the water, evoking God’s promise to our progenitor Abraham:

“I will certainly make you prosper and make your descendants as [numerous as] the sand of the sea, which cannot be numbered.” (Genesis 32:12)

This promise has now been fulfilled for all to see.

However, God failed to warn Abraham about the lifeguards oppressing the Jewish people. Nobody has ever seen these lifeguards because there is never a situation where their help is needed. And that has it’s reason.

From their elevated shelter, the lifeguards bark orders across the beach, so no one dares swim out even a little too far. As a result, there are no dangerous situations, because everyone crowds the first few meters of the beach.

You can’t see the lifeguards, but you can hear them again and again, shouting orders into their microphones like biblical shepherds. They probably speak so incomprehensibly on purpose so that no one knows who they are actually shouting at. This makes everyone feel addressed and anxiously stay close to the beach.

“You girl in…bathing suit doing…! Come back to land immediately!” You hear it and all the girls in the water immediately run back to the safety of dry land.

Or:

“Hey, you guys over there… what are you doing? Stop it now! … is dangerous! Come back to land immediately, otherwise…!”

Just go to the beach in Israel. You’ll hear such commands regularly. Only foreign tourists who don’t understand Hebrew dare to leave the herd and swim a little further out.

This makes the lifeguards’ job very easy because the only danger on the beach is people stepping on each other’s toes in the water.

So, on the beaches of Israel, another Bible prophecy has been fulfilled, and as in Bible times, the Jewish people are led by faithful shepherds who follow in the footsteps of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and David Hasselhoff.

…and David Hasselhoff! Now that made me laugh.
