He knows that millions of Israelis believe it, and he is doing everything in his power to ensure they continue to believe there was treason.”
So declared former prime minister and leader of the “Beyachad” party, Naftali Bennett, at a press briefing with diplomatic correspondents.
“Israel is in a state of diplomatic emergency,” he insisted. “Three years after October 7, the IDF is winning on the battlefield, yet victory is not being achieved. Diplomatic decisions are being made far from Jerusalem, foreign heads of state and government are making decisions about our future, hostile states are shaping our borders. In the next government that we will form, we will declare a diplomatic state of emergency and initiate a series of measures to restore our standing, which has been in freefall for four years now.”
