The ship sails along Israel’s northern Mediterranean coast offering stunning views of Haifa, the Carmel Mountains, Israeli Navy ships in the harbor, beautiful sandy-beach coastlines and the ancient, colorful fishing port of Acre.
The Ministry of Tourism has invested $2.8 million in the project, hoping that the 45-minute cruise will promote Haifa and Acre as must-see tourist attractions while visiting Israel.
The shuttle was launched in conjunction with the inauguration of the Bustan (Orchard) Gardens in Acre, a reconstruction of the Ottoman Period fruit tree groves that were part of the Palace of Pasha Al-Jazaar. Al-Jazaar was the governor of the north of Israel during the Turkish Ottoman Empire from 1775-1804.
