Fake news alert: Amnesty, UN and BBC against settler violence

One-sided reporting is the hallmark of the mainstream media and Israel-critical human rights organizations.

The British branch of the human rights organization Amnesty International condemned settler violence against Palestinians in a tweet. The post was enthusiastically quoted BBC News.

While one should generally be wary of antisemitic UN statistics on Israel, assuming the number is correct, what about Palestinian violence against Jewish civilians?

The blogger Elder of Ziyon took the trouble to do some research. While the UN has not collected statistics on Palestinian violence in the “occupied West Bank,” which would be very surprising, the Palestinians themselves have.

The Palestinian propaganda website Maata has published a report listing “resistance actions” in Judea and Samaria. It proudly lists the various terrorist attacks against Jews, with the report listing a total of 6,704 such attacks in the first half of the year:

“The first half of 2023 saw a noticeable and qualitative escalation in forms of popular and armed resistance, particularly in the West Bank and occupied Jerusalem, where hundreds of resistance operations and armed clashes were carried out in various districts and cities of the West Bank. It seemed clear that the pace of qualitative operations was increasing, which caused many casualties in the ranks of the occupiers and contributed to their exhaustion.

“The Palestine Information Center – Maata – recorded the killing of (26) Israelis, most of them soldiers, while more than (243) others were injured, during the first half of 2023, as a result of the execution of more than (6,704). ) Resistance actions, including (841) shooting actions, (19) knife attacks or attempted knife attacks, (11) ramming attacks or attempted ramming attacks, in addition to (2) rocket firings and (9) shooting down of reconnaissance aircraft.”

These statistics may also be exaggerated, but 6,704 attacks in six months amounts to over 1,100 per month, far more than the 100 alleged settler attacks against Palestinians. But who cares? Certainly not most mainstream media and so-called human rights organizations.

Another point is the pride with which attacks against Jews are reported. The Arabic text does not try to hide its joy at the deaths of Jewish women and children, on the contrary, the joy at their deaths is clearly felt.

Israelis, however, do not view settlers who attack Arabs without cause as heroes. The residents of Judea and Samaria who attack Palestinians are condemned by Israeli society and most politicians.

One response to “Fake news alert: Amnesty, UN and BBC against settler violence”

  1. Vernon Ryan says:

There is one more who keeps accounts of these attacks against Israel, the Lord Himself. His records are not biased, nor do they show favoritism. They are records that will be used in judgment against those who hate people who have committed themselves to the Lord. Those who are allied with Israel and support Israel by any means.
We are about to enter a seven year time frame, at the end of the time there will be no more haters of Israel, there will be no more haters, at least publicly.
Those who hate and teach their children to hate can dance now, but the time to pay the piper is coming sooner than they think.
