In the war’s early weeks, Israel enjoyed a “green” status on the international legitimacy gauge. As time passed, it turned “yellow,” with pressures to end the war that Israel resisted. Now, it’s a glaring “red.”
Most astonishing and alarming is the silence of the United States, Israel’s steadfast ally that has always stood by its side. Not a single word of condemnation from Washington regarding this threatening statement from other Western powers. If President Donald Trump was accused of throwing Israel under the bus, this is now taking tangible form on the global stage.
