In breaking the top 10, Israel proved itself to be happier than even Australia, which took 11th place, and Austria, which came in at number 12. First place went to Finland, followed by Norway,
Denmark, Iceland and Switzerland. The United States of America came in at rank 18.
Among the top 20 countries on the list, Israel was the only one experiencing a state of war. That would usually curb a nation’s happiness. But it’s the only reality Israel has ever known, and her citizens won’t allow the threats to bring them down.
