Despite the Negev Desert nights being extremely cold at the moment, the Israel Today group of international hikers are enjoying the majestic vistas, rare plant life and exquisite dawns and sunsets.

There is a camaraderie that has been built by the group as they enjoy evening bonfires, spiritual quiet times, a sandstorm, some rain and enjoy the overall atmosphere that one can only experience in the desert.

God speaks to one’s inner spirit in the desert and it is no coincidence that the Hebrew words for desert and speak are identical.
