The Palestinian leadership’s refusal to empathize with the Jewish people hasn’t stood in the way of Israel providing sometimes life-saving medical treatment to those same leaders and their families.

Just last year, Israel sent one of its leading medical experts to Ramallah after Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas contracted an ear infection that developed into pneumonia. Abbas’ own doctors at the time warned that he was near death.

In 2016, Abbas’ brother, Abu Luay, who lives in relative luxury in Qatar, chose to come to Israel for treatment after being diagnosed with cancer.

Two years earlier, in June of 2014, at the height of a Palestinian terrorist kidnapping crisis, Abbas’ wife, Amina, was brought to the very same Tel Aviv-area hospital, Assuta Medical Center, for leg surgery.

Also in 2014, and just weeks after a devastating war between Israel and Hamas-ruled Gaza, Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh sent his daughter to an Israeli hospital following complications after a procedure performed in Gaza....
