Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas called on the entire Palestinian population to form an army and march on Jerusalem. Abbas added that “millions of fighters, along with the Arab, Islamic, and Christian nations will march against Jerusalem,” as the 8,000 or so Palestinians who attended the rally near Ramallah began to chant “To Jerusalem we march, martyrs by the millions!”

A martyr in Arabic is a shahid, better known as a suicide bomber. Abbas said that he rejects calling Palestinian shahids “terrorists,” and that the families of Palestinian suicide bombers and those injured while trying to kill innocent Jews will continue to receive salaries from the Palestinian Authority, because they are the most sacred thing the Palestinians have.

The Palestinian president also said that his people cannot be removed from their homeland, and that “every building built by the Zionist occupation will be destroyed and thrown in the garbage bin of history.” He continued to promote the ludicrous and historically false claim that the Palestinians are the biblical Canaanites, who have lived in this land for 5,000 years.

Besides a few level-headed government leaders, President Abbas, the leader of the Palestinian Arabs, continues to be considered the only peace partner for negotiations with Israel by most of the world.

Watch the whole speech above, which was uploaded to Abbas’ Facebook page on August 10, 2019.
