Therefore say to the children of Israel: ‘I am the Lord; I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, I will rescue you from their bondage, and I will redeem you with an outstretched arm and with great judgments.'” (Exodus 6:6)

Passover is a celebration of redemption.  It is the remembering of how the God of Israel reclaimed what was rightfully his, ransomed his people from Egyptian ownership, and set them on a journey toward the Land of Promise. That was over three millennia ago. And now for a century, streams of those same exiled people have been setting out again, for the same place. It’s a sequel of the Passover exodus.
