Chinese Vice President Wang Qishan spoke in favor of closer cooperation with Israel at the Tel Aviv Innovation Festival in October.

Above all, the creativity of Israel makes the small Jewish state of great interest to China, while Israel is eager to gain the massive Chinese market for its products.

Wang is the highest ranking Chinese official to visit Israel since 2000. At that time, it was Jiang Zemin, who was the first Chinese head of state to ever visit Israel.
