It was recently reported that Russia will no longer silently permit IDF operations against the Islamic Republic of Iran in Syria. According to these reports, Russia intends to provide Syria with the technology that will make it much harder for Israel to operate against Iran in Syria, as the Kremlin has “run out of patience” with Jerusalem. This comes after reports emerged that Russia intercepted Israeli missiles that were fired toward the Syrian city of Homs. The question remains, why is Russia doing this and how will this adversely affect Israel’s security?
