Yahalom is a special combat engineering unit of the Engineering Corps of the Israel Defense Forces. The name “Yahalom” is an abbreviation of “Special Operations Engineering Unit.”
The Yaholam Unit deals with neutralizing explosives, as well as finding, investigating and destroying terror tunnels. Needless to say, these soldiers put themselves in great danger to protect Israel.
