This Is a Religious War, Israeli Army Says of Conflict With Palestinians

It isn’t about Palestine. It’s about Allah and his commandment to kill Jews

Try as it might to sidestep the religious nature of the Israeli-Arab conflict, the Israeli army last week was compelled to acknowledge that Palestinian violence is ultimately fueled by Islam and its rejection of Jewish sovereignty in this land.

And, as our readers are aware, Israel’s commitment to maintaining Jewish sovereignty in this land is ultimately fueled by divine promises recorded in the Bible.

Western powers, even Christian America, are far more reluctant to see this as a religious war. It’s hard enough to broker a peace deal while keeping everything on a secular level. Add Muslim and Jewish religious red lines to the mix and it becomes impossible.

But that doesn’t change the fact that at ground level this conflict is religious. And if an agreement concluded at the political level can’t penetrate down to ground level, then it’s peace in name only.

In the Israeli army’s latest assessment, diplomatic efforts are indeed becoming less relevant as the motivation for Palestinian violence moves increasingly from nationalistic to religious.

The latest wave of Palestinian terror has claimed the lives of 19 Israelis, and the perpetrators have almost all pointed to tensions at the Temple Mount as the rationale for their bloody actions. In two of the attacks, the terrorists identified as disciples of ISIS ideology, which seeks to establish an Islamic caliphate across the entire region.

Israel’s defense establishment is concerned that this renewed focus on religion could lead to a far broader campaign of terror for which there is no diplomatic solution, reported the Ynet news portal.

This of course dovetails with the efforts of Iran and its proxies to destabilize and ultimately destroy Israel, which is likewise entirely religious in nature.
