Two months have passed since US President Donald Trump officially recognized Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, and the world has not come to an end.

Incidentally, the decision has elicited far less outrage in the Arab world than in many countries in the West, in particular in Europe. Western media has been full of reports of “terrible riots” in the Land. Many of our readers have called the Israel Today editorial offices to offer encouragement, and to inquire about the turmoil they’ve heard about as a result of Trump’s declaration. But, we’ve been able to put their minds at ease, since none of us have experienced anything like what’s being reported. It’s just one more example of the distorted picture the mainstream media paints of Israel. The media wanted upheaval after Trump defied the world and decided in favor of Israel, but it didn’t happen. “Washington’s reversal in regards to Israel and Jerusalem is too good to be true,” a number of government ministers have stated. This is a favorable moment that Israel must not miss.
