The unemployment rate in Israel fell to 4.1 percent in September after remaining steady at 4.3 percent in August. The total workforce in Israel numbers around four million, of which 3,836,000 were employed and around 160,000 unemployed. This is the best rate since the recording of these statistics began in 1995.

Finance Minister Moshe Kahlon took the opportunity to pat himself on the back, stating, “The unemployment rate of 4.1 percent is one of the lowest in decades, and is the result of steps that we have introduced. We have encouraged people from the lower wage brackets...
