Valentine’s day arrives. Everybody celebrates, goes on dates, sends greetings. The coffee shops are full of lovers. The flower shops are packed with flowers and countless deliveries are planned and made. All the chocolate shops are just as busy.
This day has assumed the status of an official holiday and it has become institutionalized. There is a TV channel that shows romantic movies all day long. Radio stations broadcast love songs. So what could be a better occasion to celebrate love?
I seem to belong to another generation that does not feel the urge to celebrate or do anything special on this day! My motto is to live every day to the fullest with as much love as possible.
Yet, my beloved came home with a huge bouquet of flowers. No matter how many times I have explained to him that I love a bouquet made up of only one type of flower, because for me it magnifies the beauty of the flowers, he arrived with a mixed bouquet. It seems as if the message goes in one ear...
