I have a 9-year-old daughter, and every day I gaze at her petrified as she plays a game on TikTok titled “Israel against Hamas.” Passionately, she always presses on the picture of Israel, hoping that our country will defeat Hamas on TikTok. Worried about this game, I contacted a psychologist, who told me to let her continue, since playing the game releases all of the tension the war has created in her.
Children throughout Israel have been suffering immensely since the war broke out. Aside from the fact that numerous Israeli children were taken hostage, massacred, and raped on October 7, many other children have been forced to live under a constant barrage of rocket fire. And a great many more were forced to crowd into hotel rooms and live as displaced persons.
As a resident of the Jewish state, I got a glimpse of how the war has adversely affected Israeli children. When the war broke out, we found ourselves in Nahariya, situated very near the Lebanese border. Originally, we had wanted to stay there. School had anyway moved back...
