The Israel Defense Forces overnight Saturday conducted an airstrike against Hamas terrorists embedded in a former school in Gaza City currently being used as a shelter for displaced Palestinians.

According to the military, the terrorists planned and conducted attacks on Israeli troops in the Strip and civilians in Israel from the Musa Bin Nusair school.

“Prior to the attack, many steps were taken to reduce the chance of harming civilians, including the use of precision weapons, aerial surveillance and additional intelligence information,” according to the IDF.

“The Hamas terror organization systematically violates international law, while cruelly exploiting civilian institutions and using the population as human shields. The IDF will continue to act with force and determination against the terrorist organizations,” added the military.
