Why the biblical perspective helps us reframe the events since October 7th.

Sixteen months have passed since October 7th. I’m becoming more and more aware that we’re living in a truly historic moment. But to do that, you have to see the bigger picture. If you stand too close to that picture, you miss it. Often, you can only understand the path you’ve taken in retrospect. I became aware of this again through the biblical story of Joseph. Not only is he the classic messianic figure in the Bible and a pointer to the Savior, but his story reminds us to think differently and see the bigger picture.

Joseph’s revelation to his brothers in Egypt is one of the most dramatic events in the first book of the Bible. “I am Joseph. Is my father still alive?” His brothers, who had sold and cast him out, suddenly discover that their younger brother Joseph is Pharaoh’s right-hand man. Fear grips them. Their brother is now in a position of power; he could take revenge at any moment. They are plagued by remorse and terrible feelings of guilt; they hardly dare...

    To look at the story of Joseph you are certainly seeing a bigger picture presented here, even a Messianic one.
    For the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the ONE, TRUE AND LIVING GOD, He sees eternity past to eternity future all in the present.
    Israel today, (the nation) is still the apple of God’s eye even as it has always been because the issue is about the character of the God of Israel and only when the nation of Israel is totally eliminated will the character of the God of Israel be destroyed. Is that possible?
