Israeli guide begins taking visitors on a very different kind of tour to help them understand what happened that fateful morning in October.

Amit Museai is a licensed Israeli tour guide who recently began leading groups of foreigners on tours of Sderot and the site of the Nova Music Festival Massacre twice a week. As a survivor of the massacre, he struggled with PTSD and was unable to work for some time until his therapist encouraged him to share his story with others. She suggested he write a memoir, but Museai said sitting down to write a book isn’t his thing. Being a tour guide, however, is his passion. Through these specialized October 7 tours, he aims to educate foreigners about the truth of what happened that day. In an era when many in the West are beginning to deny the atrocities of October 7, Museai’s initiative to bring people to these sites feels more vital than ever.

The tour started with a long early morning drive from Tel Aviv, during which Museai educated the group about the history of the conflict. He explained that during the UN Partition Plan, Israel secured the Negev thanks to the bravery of Jewish settlers...
