For Bible-believing Israelis, the Jewish state’s history is not only the result of human decisions, but also part of a process of redemption unfolding step by step before the eyes of the world. The question, therefore, is not only what is happening politically, but also what spiritual significance these events may hold.

Rabbi Shmuel Eliyahu addressed Israel’s complex reality in his weekly lesson and explained that it is part of a process of redemption: “The miracles are happening before our eyes. The time of your redemption has arrived.”

Those who follow the Israeli media encounter not only politicians, generals, and security experts. Especially in religious and national-religious media, rabbis also have a firm place in the public debate. They comment on current events not only from a political or military perspective, but interpret them against the background of the Bible, the prophets, and rabbinic tradition.
