There is a profound change both in the academic world and in Israeli society in attitudes toward Yeshua and the New Testament.

On January 27, 2025, a special symposium was organized in Jerusalem by the Yad Izhak Ben-Zvi Institute, a governmental research facility and publisher of books and periodicals on Jerusalem, Israel, and Jewish communities in the East. The event marked the launch of a new comprehensive Hebrew book titled New Testament Writings as Jewish Literature, authored by Prof. Serge Ruzer of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Three of his colleagues also contributed their own papers to the book. Within 581 pages it deals with the broad theme of the New Testament’s Jewish background, rabbinical encounters with those writings, alongside the impact of resources from Qumran and the research of modern NT academics.

The conference

An audience of about 500 people, young and elderly, attended the conference. They needed to be divided between a major hall where the lecturers spoke, and a smaller hall where the lectures were screened.     Just like Joseph, the time is drawing near quickly, when the Lord will reveal Himself to His brothers and sisters of Israel. Israel will then recognize Him as their Lord and Messiah.
