Even as Western governments prepare to recognize a Palestinian state at the UN General Assembly, Israeli forces on Friday exposed exactly what such a state would look like: a rocket workshop and terror cell operating openly in the Ramallah area.
The IDF, Shin Bet, and Border Police’s Yamam counter-terrorism unit arrested three suspects in Samaria who had attempted last week to fire a rocket from Kfar Na’ama, west of the de facto Palestinian Authority capital of Ramallah. Inside the hideout, troops found two launch-ready rockets, dozens of improvised explosive devices, and materials for further weapons production. A full rocket-manufacturing workshop was also uncovered. The rockets and explosives were dismantled, and the suspects are now in Shin Bet custody.
