As many Western nations continue to debate placing women in combat, Israeli girls are taking up arms side-by-side with their male comrades.

The Lions of the Jordan Valley is Israel's newest co-ed light infantry battalion.

It is tasked with defending Israel's eastern border against infiltration and dealing with Palestinian terror threats in the area.

The battalion recently held it's first live-fire field exercises.
