Our City “Envelopes Light”

Israelis pour into southern Jerusalem forest to march in remembrance of murdered Jewish teen

Thousands of Israelis on Tuesday marched through a forested area in southern Jerusalem where 19-year-old Ori Ansbacher was brutally murdered by a Palestinian terrorist earlier this month.

The Jerusalem Municipality hosted a series of events under the banner Ir Otefet Or – “A City Enveloping Light” – a play on the slain teen’s name, which also means “light.”

Ori’s killer, who came from the Palestinian Authority-controlled town of Hebron, has admitted to police that he came to Jerusalem looking for a Jew, any Jew, to murder.
