Chief Rabbi David Lau called upon the people of Israel to stop reciting a special Jewish prayer for rain following heavy storms and even snow in the north. “Praise God, we were privileged and the heavens opened up,” said Lau, urging the people to switch to a prayer beseeching the Almighty to continue blessing the land.
