While it is not yet quite ready for action, this new jeep-style vehicle is already receiving high praise from top officials in the security and intelligence services. It’s cost efficiency comes from equipping it with a steering wheel from a Citroën Berlingo, power-assisted steering from a police helicopter, and an engine from an electric scooter. The concept for this 3D vehicle was introduced at the annual Defense Technology conference, which was organized this year by the Israel Police. Police officials dubbed the 3D printed vehicle the “007,” partly to honor actor Roger Moore, who most famously portrayed fictional British spy James Bond during the series’ earlier films. Moore passed away during development of the new police vehicle.
